Forspoken, an RPG with great magic-imbued combat and parkour, could neither meet the high expectations qualitatively nor commercially. The game was released by Square Enix for the PlayStation 5 and PC, but unfortunately, it failed to deliver on the massive amount of hype it generated.

Since its release earlier this year on January 24th, the game has had several shortcomings in terms of both gameplay and graphics. This lack of performance made the game acquire a disappointing average score of 64 points on Metacritic.

However, Square Enix did not abandon the project and last week released Patch 1.10 to address several gameplay and graphics issues. It brought several improvements to performance and lighting and also added new options, such as immunity to Frey’s magic.

Nonetheless, in many cases, the update did nothing but make matters worse. Undoubtedly, it provided a 30% boost when playing on Recommended settings or higher on PCs, but several reports of the game crashing following the update have surfaced on the internet.

This issue is quite vexing, but again, Square Enix is still committed to the project, and according to a recent tweet from Forspoken, the developers are working to resolve the crashing issue.

We’re aware that there is an issue where the game occasionally crashes in certain scenes or by certain actions after the release of Patch 1.10.

We are now working on the bug fix and are planning to release an update patch to resolve the issue on March 17 2023.

The announcement on Twitter revealed that the new patch will be released later this week on the 17th of March and will fix the crashing issue. Hopefully, the next Patch, possibly Patch 1.11 will set things right for Forspoken.
