The latest Final Fantasy XIV live letter from the producer gave fans a final look at what’s coming in patch 6.3. The update is extensive, and the team had to cover a lot of information, so players know what to look forward to.
Final Fantasy XIV has become popular over the years, so much so that while Stranger Of Paradise’s Different Future DLC will mark the end of support for the game, FFXV will continue to be supported for the next ten years. With the release of the latest Endwalker expansion, Square Enix has been working to infuse more content into the game. Today, the company announced that Patch 6.3 would introduce a lot of new content to the game for fans to enjoy.
The release date is the first information almost always listed in the second part of Live Letters for patch updates. Patch 6.3 is coming on January 10th, 2023, and will be followed about two weeks later by a small update for minor tweaks and the new Ultimate featured in the last Live Letter and update trailer.
One prominent character shown during the Live Letter is Golbez, the main antagonist of FFIV, who appeared in FFXIV as a rival to the main cast. The trailer shows off the character of Zero and teases new raids players can do together.
Players can access a new main story quest in the latest patch along with Gods Level and Lands Tremble. Here, players will meet an expected ally and soon find an unforeseen threat blocking their path to Azdaja. Additionally, players can venture into a new dungeon called Lapis Manalis. In the dungeon, players venture into the mountains of Garlemald and find unexpected creatures.
In addition, there is plenty of other content for players, such as the new Trial, Systems, Alliance Raid Dungeon, and Deep Dungeon. In addition, players will enjoy additional improvements and quality-of-life benefits throughout the game, such as more mounts, minions, emotes, and housing updates.
