Blizzard Entertainment announced today in a Live Stream that they will test Diablo 4 against server slam. Yes, you read that correctly; you will be able to play Diablo 4 one last time before the full release of the game later this year.
The Diablo 4 Server Slam will be the third open beta running from May 12 to May 14, and it will be available to all players across all platforms for free. The developers have openly invited all gamers to participate in this beta to assist them in stress-testing the servers. Blizzard has created this beta solely to ensure that everything runs smoothly on the big day when the full version of the game is released.
There is no doubt that the purpose of this beta is to stress test the game servers, but there is a lot more to it. For instance, the changes made in the previous beta will be applied to this version, giving you hands-on experience with the smoothest version of the game yet. Furthermore, different rewards are also on offer. It should be noted, however, that rewards from the previous beta will not be carried over to this version. Similarly, any progress made in this beta will not be carried over to the full release of the game. No surprises here!
When it comes to the specifics of the incentives provided in this beta, you’ll be able to earn the Beta Wolf Pack and various titles and also test out buffs to the Barbarian and Druid classes. In addition, the World Boss Ashava will also spawn during the beta.
Ashava is set to spawn for the first time on May 13 at 9 AM PDT. Afterward, he will respawn every three hours. In addition, if you kill Ashava, having at least level 20, you will earn the Cry of Ashava Mount Trophy. However, defeating Ashava at a lower level won’t net you the trophy.
The official blog of Blizzard Entertainment goes into the details of the server slam. The full version of Diablo 4 will be available on May 6 for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, and PC.
