Dead Island 2 is the highly anticipated sequel to the acclaimed Dead Island, which has been in development for more than a decade. The wait has come to an end with the announcement that the game will be released for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on April 21.
Although fans eagerly await the sequel, some are anxious for an announcement regarding the specifications required to run the game smoothly. The game developers Dambuster Studios and the publishers Deep Silver answered the call of the highly anticipated fans today by announcing the PC Specification for the game via the official Dead Island Twitter account.
When it comes to the system requirements, they are hefty in some ways but not overly so overall. The AMD FX-9590 or Intel Core i7-7700HQ CPU with a minimum of 10 GB RAM is required for 1080p/30fps settings. You’ll need AMD Radeon RX 480 or GeForce GTX 1060 as the bare minimum.
However, the developers recommend playing at 1080p/60fps settings with a GeForce RTX 2070 or Radeon RX 6800 XT. If you want to squeeze out every minor detail in terms of graphics, you’ll want to play at the 4K/60fps settings, but that will require the Radeon RX 6950 XT or GeForce RTX 3090 for optimum performance.

Furthermore, the game will not support cross-play; however, it will have a co-op story mode for up to three players. It will also support cross-gen play, which is welcome news. The developers, however, did not go into detail about either the co-op story mode or the cross-gen play. The Technical FAQs contain every detail revealed about the game thus far.
