FromSoftware sure did plant its footprint in the gaming industry with the launch of the Mega Title Elden Ring last year. The developers are all set to re-enter the industry with the release of Armored Core 6, reviving the franchise after being dormant for well over a decade.
Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon was first revealed at The Game Awards last December, and the trailer revealed that the game would launch sometime in 2023, but no specific release date was given. Furthermore, since no gameplay was shown, it fueled speculation that the game would be delayed past 2023.
However, the game was recently given an age rating in South Korea, hinting that the title was nearing its launch. Now, Tom Henderson from Insider Gaming suggests that the game will launch in August this year, precisely on August 25, but it should be taken with a pinch of salt since not yet been officially confirmed by FromSoftware.
Furthermore, if the claims by Henderson are correct, the game will have a showcase at the Summer Game Fest, which is right around the corner. Also, since FromSoftware has excellent ties with PlayStation, we might as well see the Armored Core 6 showcase during the rumored PlayStation Showcase.
Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon is set to launch on all platforms, including the Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, and PC.
